What Makes a Sword Truly Medieval? Medieval sword is a bit of a misnomer. There is no such proper name as a Medieval sword. But there are swords that are very medieval. These swords are typically of a fantastic nature with unusual lines and unusual shapes. They aren't the kind of swords that would have been actually used in the middle ages but they have become quite a popular collectibe item in the past few years based solely on their craftsmanship and their aesthetic sensibility.they do invoke a "Medieval" almost evil feeling .
